First week back in the “reality” now known as 2013 – I’m knackered already – I hope everyone is implementing self-care as part of their therapeutic New Year resolutions!
Meditation is good for you apparently – well there has been actual research into the effects of meditation (and all things mindfulness) on depression, anxiety and such forth and apparently there is hope!
Clearing the mind however is notoriously difficult and takes a lot of practice but is apparently worthwhile. I don’t know about you, but it’s wonderful for helping me get to sleep!
Should anyone be interested in mindfulness meditation in terms of mental health, I cannot recommend the works of Tara Brach more highly.
