/ August 2, 2010In the US-my experience-quality therapists(one’s that have gone to therapy/hopefully check in with a therapist during their practice) cost a lot of money. They rarely take insurance. They don’t have to-they’re so good/they have enough patients. So, for most, quality mental health help is impossible to find or afford.

/ August 2, 2010I’m in the US, have had 3 very good therapists that not only take most insurance, but medicare and medicaid (with either as primary) It’s true for *most* but not all, certainly, therapists in town .. that being said, when my 2nd had to stop seeing me (long story, it was not anything either of us had done, and wasn’t either of our decision but the powers that be at the mental health clinic) she was very very particular about who she handed me off to.

/ August 2, 2010Love it. Ha! I’ve been told by more than one T that I’m screwed. This was no new insight & it was always said with caring. Who cares anyway? I’m an adult now and can determine my own happiness unlike a child.
