Silence – Therapy Tales #13

In fact I spend far too much time not only avoiding eye-contact in session but also indulging in my very own special brand of crippling silence.

I think my real fear is running out of things to say in my blogs – now that would be something to worry about!

So just to jinx it all further – let’s make this #13. :)

Greetings cards, postcards etc now available in the shop!

  1. As you’re being serious….I’ve worried that I’ll run out of words but I read an article about ownership and free will (or something) and it said that if you act like the words/art are a gift, you’re giving away their power; but if you recognise they’re part of you, you take ownership and stop worrying that they’ll run out.Might not fit for you but made me feel better.

Anyway, as we’ve established, you’re a genius: there’s a bottomless supply of creativity. Plus, as James says, we’ve got heaps of ideas if you need a top up!

My fave way of avoiding total silence:
“I’m really not sure what to say next….”

  3. Ah, geez, these just get better and better, WG! And, correct me if I’m wrong, but two in one day? What a treat. Not only is your stuff hilarious, but you’re providing such an honest window into the therapeutic relationship/process. An extremely rare find, indeed.
